Kokusei Shigin Kai Celebrates New Year

Seattle Kokusei Shigin Kai, a local Japanese poetry chanting group, held its annual New Year’s party at Kawabe Memorial House on Feb. 6. Twelve members celebrated the New Year and performed their first shigin chanting of 2016 on stage. They also enjoyed the luncheon and karaoke party.

地元詩吟団体の1つ、シアトル国誠詩吟会による恒例の新年会が6日に川部メモリアルハウス で開かれた。会員関係者が集い、初吟詠を吟じたほか、昼食や余興などで新年の行事を楽しんだ。
