Yuko Oga, second Japanese WNBA player

Yuko Oga, a Phoenix Mercury point guard, scored two points in her 5-minute performance against the
Seattle Storm at Key Arena last Thursday. She is the second WNBA Japanese player following Mikiko Hagiwara,
who played for the Mercury in 1997-1998.
Oga, 25, was the first Japanese female professional player in the basketball league in Japan. She has played
for the Japanese National Teams since 2001 and competed in the 2004 Athens Olympics as the team's youngest player.
As of this Sunday, she has an average of 2.4 points and 6.6-minutes play in 12 game appearances.
In the game of last Thursday, the Storm beat the Mercury in 89-78.
