Seattle can proudly represent Mazda in the Pacific Northwest, as this Japanese car company was historically started here in Washington. With so many Japanese car brands out there like Honda, Nissan, Toyota, and several others, none of them stand out like Mazda does.

At Mazda's dealership, you will find friendly service and a wide range of vehicles from the speedy Miata to a family-friendly Mazda6 cx-7 SUV. Not only does Mazda work to bring in sales targeting males, they find their center and focus towards reaching the younger generation of drivers along with women. Mazda has worked hard to bring road racing to the northwest and you will be able to see that in the official 2008 Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear at the Mazda Grand Prix of Portland event from July 25-27.

Mazda, as the title sponsor of this year's Grand Prix of Portland, has worked hard to bring a family-friendly environment of fun to the motocross speed week to the Pacific Northwest. Tickets are cheap and there is a little something for everyone to enjoy. Come win prizes, meet pro drivers and explore the many different cars in display.

This event in past years has helped to promote the protection of pet laws through the Humane society. The Grand Prix also works hard to prevent and discourage street racing, which can be dangerous because drivers disobey speed laws and damage property.

For those of you interested in racing, professional racers like Geoff Cochran highly advise you to start with Mazda's Miata. It is cheap to modify these cars compared to others because they come with kits and because of the size, they are small and easy to handle. One spectator and a huge fan of Miata's says that 'in order for kids to have a successful career, they also have to have extremely supportive parents.'

Mazda's success can be thanked through their '4 P's for business success'. They focus on people, products, partners, and a plan. Relate to the people and see what they like and don't like. Work with trends and statistics to see what works and what does not. Their plan will kick in for the Mazda Grand Prix in July and they hope to encourage everyone to come out and enjoy a week of cars and good racing. They have worked hard to prepare for the event as was presented at the Grand Prix Media lunch in Portland, Oregon thanks to one man who helped put it together, Brian Gladden, Operations manager for the Mazda Grand Prix of Portland.

With Patrick Dempsey, Doctor Mcdreamy in the ever popular Grey's Anatomy, as their spokesperson, who wouldn't love Mazda? To join in on the highly anticipated fun of the Mazda sponsored Grand Prix of Portland event in July, you can purchase tickets at www.portlandraceway.com
